In the Stacks: Inside the CSC Library and Archive follows Miss Ian the CSC Head Librarian and Poppers the Pony (Dorian Katz) the CSC Curator and Archivist. Miss Ian and Poppers the Pony are both queer, sex-positive artists who have volunteered at the CSC for over four years collecting and cataloging a wide variety of erotic books, zines, videos and archival material from Bay Area BDSM community members and prominent sex educators. Together, they collaborate on art projects, curate events, and travel to promote the artists and histories that are part of the CSC community.

Founded by Dr. Carol Queen and Dr. Robert Lawrence, the mission of the Center for Sex and Culture is to provide judgement-free education, cultural events, a library media archive, and other resources to audiences across the sexual and gender spectrum; and to research and disseminate factual information, framing and informing issues of public policy and public health.
