The Anti-Eviction Mapping Project in partnership with the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo

The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo (Legal Aid) and Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto (CLSEPA) approached the Anti-Eviction Mapping Project (AEMP) about creating a comprehensive report from data they had collected over a three-year period assisting tenants. What resulted was a 12-page PDF and printed booklet, complete with detailed mapping of evictions in San Mateo County and infographics illustrating the racial and economic demographics of populations most impacted by the housing crisis. The report is available on Legal Aid’s website legalaidsmc.org, which states that “San Mateo County eviction data is not available in any centralized, publicly accessible database, making this report the first integrated source of information to reveal the full scale of the eviction problem in the heart of Silicon Valley.”
